Rifton’s Lori Potts shares physical therapy expertise at Jiraffe CPD roadshows
Rifton Physiotherapist and Product & Training Specialist, Lori Potts, shared her expertise and knowledge at six CPD talks in Leeds, London, Birmingham and Glasgow – in partnership with Jiraffe.
Lori hosted a series of workshops– named ‘Gait Training Principles, Challenges and Solutions’ which covered equipment training and information in order to help attendees overcome challenges when positioning children and adults with complex needs in walking.
From New York, Lori has an extensive background in physical therapy, having worked as a Physiotherapist for more than 20 years. She has also conducted equipment-related workshops internationally.
The talks, designed for professionals who prescribe or encounter gait training equipment, received glowing feedback from attendees.
Lori said: “I was delighted to have this opportunity to share knowledge and product information with many practicing paediatric and adult physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the UK.
“I was honoured to deliver these presentations alongside a team of experienced product advisors from Jiraffe, who are very perceptive and conversant about the many valuable postural positioning options available to positively impact the health, wellbeing, and participation of individuals with special needs.”
Karen Larsen, Paediatric Physiotherapy Assistant at University Hospitals Birmingham, said: “There was an excellent range of products to experiment with, alongside good brochures and presentation handout material.
“All the speakers were excellent, and we appreciated having the Jiraffe staff on hand to help throughout the day.”
Lori also joined our team of product advisors in Manchester at ‘Kidz to Adultz North 2019’ – offering advice, demonstrations or assessments on a variety of products from Jiraffe’s range of paediatric postural support equipment.
